Thoughts about the world, humans, love, nature, places, architecture, design, families. Cinema through an uninhibited lens of colour and imagination. 
Films that feel magical. Films that make us feel things - all kinds of things.

Watch features, shorts, and a few (!) live performances with live projection on 16mm. You will never get this close to film on film.

About the Festival

In it’s 9th year now, the 16mm Film Festival is a photochemical only festival, conceived with a view of celebrating and showcasing film as a medium. Every year, it brings the experimental film community together with film performances, film on film, workshops and talks.

The 16mm Film Festival is organised by Harkat, a film lab, alternative arts space and boutique film production company based in Mumbai.
